I was born in Wessington Springs and raised on a farm 17 miles west and 7 miles north of town. I attended Happy Hollow rural school grades 1-3, Lake Side grades 4-7, and then town elementary 8th grade. I then graduated from WSHS in 1977. After attending the University of Nebraska for a year I went to and graduated from South Dakota State University in 1982.

I am employed by the Winner School District as the High School Physical Science, and Head Girls Basketball Coach.

My hobbies are fishing, hunting, online sim racing, and NasCar.

The first week of April I went to the NasCar race in Ft Worth, Texas see pictures below.
